Southwest Florida’s Murex Properties to Manage Dolce Vita: Apache Junction Community

Joins Nationwide Portfolio

FORT MYERS, Fla. January 16, 2015 – Murex Properties, a Fort Myers-based company that owns and manages premier manufactured-housing communities throughout the United States, has assumed management of the 720-home site developing manufactured-home community Dolce Vita in Apache Junction, AZ.  Northwestern Mutual Real Estate purchased the property in December 2014. Under an agreement with Northwestern Mutual, Murex identifies attractive investment properties in which Northwestern Mutual Real Estate invests while Murex assumes responsibility for the property management.  The 55-plus, gated community is situated along the southern edge of U.S. 60, east of S. Goldfield Road.

Murex acquires Ventura Lakes: Punta Gorda, Florida

Murex Properties, a Fort Myers-based company that owns and manages manufactured-housing communities throughout the United States, has acquired the 273-homesite manufactured-home community Ventura Lakes in Punta Gorda for $19 million. The 55-plus, gated community is located on Jones Loop Road. The 84-acre community was originally developed by David Anthony in 1998. Ventura Lakes is the third community Murex has purchased in conjunction with Northwestern Mutual. Northwestern Mutual, as a part of its diversified investing on behalf of its policy owners, is one of the nation’s largest real estate investors, with investments in commercial mortgages, equities and securitized investments across all major property types. Founded by Adler in 2004, Murex Properties provides management, financial and accounting services, staffing, maintenance, home sales and marketing services for eight communities in Florida, Texas and Oregon. Schalamar Creek Golf & Country Club wins Land-Lease Community of the Year Award

(Arlington, VA – April 30, 2014) Members of the manufactured and modular housing industries gathered today at an awards luncheon to recognize individuals and companies for outstanding achievements. The National Industry Awards, presented during the 2014 National Congress and Expo for Manufactured and Modular Housing, recognized the highest achievers from all sectors of the manufactured and modular housing industries.

“These award winners are leading the way in providing outstanding products, value, customer service, creative solutions and state of the art homes that today’s homebuyers desire. They are being recognized today for their leadership, vision and dedication in enhancing and moving the manufactured and modular housing industries forward,” said MHI President & CEO Richard Jennison.

The winners of the “Land-Lease Community of the Year” and “Retail Sales Center of the Year” categories submit entries that are judged by an independent panel of professionals made up of representatives from academia, planning, community development, realtor, homebuilding and marketing professions. Awards are given in four regional areas of the country.

The “Land-Lease Community of the Year” entries were judged based on a written statement supplied by the entrant, community aesthetics, marketing materials, site plan of the community,
community and industry involvement, and the lease and covenants. The independent
panel of judges selected the following communities to receive awards:

The “Retail Sales Center of the Year” award entries were judged based on an entry statement, management philosophy, retail center aesthetics, marketing materials and community and industry involvement. The independent panel of judges selected the following retailers:
